"Around the same time as I was invited to make a show in Ljósaklif I also received an invitation

from an artist couple to make a show in an art-space they had just established. It was actually

their family car which was a Volkswagen van with camping facilities. They had decided to change

this car into an art-space for exhibitions and they invited me to do the first show in their space

which in translation would be called Artspace E541 which is actually the number plate of the car.

As these events happened to coincide with each other the Artspace E541 came on its four wheels

to attend the opening of Ljósaklif and drove towards the house and stopped on the spot where

the guests gathered before they entered. Then they opened the door and out stepped the family

of six. This can be seen as a performance/appearance. All of them went to a photographer who

made a portrait of each individual with a name-tag. That was the exhibition, called Family."
