The exhibition and symposium series was inspired

by Friðfinnsson’s ongoing House Project begun in

1974, and Georges Perec’s Espèces d’espaces (1974).

Friðfinnsson’s contribution to the exhibition consisted

of his book House Project: First House, Second House,

Third House (Reykjavík: Hafnarborg and Crymogea,

2012), displayed on a plinth, opened to his text

“Third House”.
